SEVEN YEARS WAR IN THE HESSIAN SALIENT

The Battle of Langenbruck

Gaming continued last night in the Wargamorium with the Seven Years War in the Hessian Salient – i.e. the French fighting against the Hanoverians, Hessians, English and Brunswickers in the western theatre. Not a Prussian, Russian or Austrian in sight.

The figures are 15mm Old Glory, the rules are home made and the place names are fictitious.

Both armies found themselves on parallel roads marching to secure the same river crossing at Langebruck with the villages of Oberschweineöde and Kleinschweinöde on the way.

Both sides sent cavalry dashing forward for the bridge and both stood watching each other waiting for their infantry to catch up.

The game continues next time.
