Napoleon at War – Russians versus Prussians

1815 Prussian Blucher

Russians and Prussians clashed last night in the Wargamorium in a fictitious battle just to help us to learn the rules better as these will be the rules of choice for the tabletop battles in the upcoming Napoleonic campaign which is currently being organised. Details of this campaign will be posted on this Blog under the Campaign Page.

The Russians proved to be too powerful for the Prussians and neither of the two objectives were achieved.

The game lasted for quite a few hours as we struggled to learn these deceptively complex rules.  Obviously before the next game we all need to do some more studying. I think for future battles the attacker needs to have a clear superiority in numbers.

Some outstanding photos here Robert! Do you often play fictitious battles?

  2. wargamorium says:

Thanks H. Yes most of the battles we play are fictitious but usually between armies who actually fought one another. This was a first but we wanted to try out the specific rules for each army.
