Another Twilight for the Sun King.

1706 Ramillies

Last night the Wargamorium saw another Spanish Succession battle using Twilight of the Sun King Rules. The result was the same as last time with dice deciding the day again. The game looks well and runs very smoothly – thanks to our well-read umpire – but the issue is decided by the throw of the dice rather than any stratagem or ruse.

This time the French right wing cavalry held out of sheer luck while the left wing cavalry collapsed owing solely to poor dice.  It was all quite discouraging especially when the odds were not the deciding factor.

However it was an enjoyable night in good company and a selection of photographs are set out below.  The strange bases should be ignored as these are designed for a different rule set.
