French victory at the Battle of Kiel

1815 Napoleon captured Prussian Hussar

Last night brought yet another victory to Napoleon’s eagles at the Battle of Kiel when the French army stormed to victory and decisively defeated a Prussian army which tried to block its path.

The Prussians put up a gallant defence but were no match for the combination of dashing French lancers supported by the Emperor’s “Belles Filles” drawn up in a Grand Battery which swept all before it.

This was the second defeat for the Prussians who also lost to the Russians in Sweden only two weeks ago.  In a statement released on behalf  of the Royal Palace in Berlin today His Majesty “praised the gallantry and bravery of my Prussian soldiers”  but went on to say that “my generals are just crap “.
